Failed gutter guards

What it looks like
- Leaves and debris piled on top of the guard.
- Plants or moss growing out of the gutter.
- A guard that has bowed, warped or pulled loose.
- Water sheeting over the guard in a hard rain.
What causes it
- Debris that lands on other guards stays there. On flat or solid guards, each rain packs it tighter.
- Anything that sits flat in the gutter becomes a shelf, and a shelf collects.
- Plastic guards warp in the sun.
- Screens that are caulked in can come out of the frame.
What it leads to
- Once the guard stops working, the gutter clogs and overflows like an unprotected one.
- When a gutter overflows, it also backflows — water goes backward toward the house, not just over the front.
- Backflow wets the fascia board. Depending on how much water, it works its way into the roof decking and migrates upward.
How we fix it
- Replace your existing problem gutter guards with Valor.
- Raised, patented S-turn design — debris can’t lay flat, air gets underneath, and an eight to ten mile an hour breeze clears it off.
- Mechanically fastened surgical grade stainless steel micro mesh — no adhesive, no caulk.
- Installed at the angle of the roof, not flat.
- Lifetime, transferable warranty. See Valor.
Questions and answers
Why do gutter guards fail?
Debris that lands on most guards stays there. A guard that sits flat becomes a shelf that collects, plastic guards warp in the sun, and screens that are caulked in can come out of the frame.
Can you replace my old gutter guards?
Yes. We replace existing problem gutter guards with the Valor Gutter Guard, which carries a lifetime, transferable warranty.
